Bio

The orthodontist Maria Charalambidou was born and raised in Thessaloniki.

She graduated from the 15th High School of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and in 1995, after successful participation in the national examinations, she began her studies at the School of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she graduated in 2000.

From 2000 to 2001, he worked as a dentist at the Hippocrates General Hospital (Dental Department), with emphasis on the treatment of emergency cases, people with chronic diseases and people with special needs.

From 2001 to 2004, she attended and completed a three-year postgraduate program at the School of Dentistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in Preventive and Social Dentistry with clinical emphasis on Pediatric Dentistry.

In 2004 he started his 3-year residency in Orthodontics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. After completing a research project, she received a Master of Science in Odontology (MSc) from the same university. Her work has been published in Acta Odontologica Scandinavica, Gerodontology and has been presented at conferences in Greece and abroad.

From 2007 to 2015 he worked with an orthodontic clinic in Trondheim, Norway. At the same time, from 2007 to 2021 he worked with the orthodontist Mrs. Ioanna Georgiakaki and the Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Geneva, Mr. Stavros Koliaridis, at the Standard Orthodontic Clinic and from 2022 he took over the clinic exclusively.

She is a certified provider of the Invisalign method.

He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Preventive Dentistry (EPOE), the Hellenic Federation of Maxillofacial Study and Research (EOGME), the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), the European Orthodontic Society (EOS), the Greek Orthodontic Suture Association (GOAS) and the Norwegian Orthodontic Association (NKF).
